Llantwit Major Archers is a field archery club based in the Vale of Glamorgan, serving enthusiasts from across South East Wales since 1984. As an affiliated member of the Welsh Field Archery Association, the club specialises in field archery—a distinctive discipline that differs fundamentally from Olympic target archery. Rather than shooting at stationary targets in a line, field archery involves navigating a course through woodland terrain, similar to a golf course, with 28 targets set at varying distances between 20 feet and 80 yards.
The club welcomes archers of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced competitors. They operate year-round sessions, utilising an indoor venue during winter months and their own field and forest location during summer. Their experienced coaching team includes three Grand Bow Masters, one Senior Bow Master, and four Bow Masters who guide members through different shooting styles and techniques.
