Llandaff City Bowmen is a registered charity and archery club based in Cardiff, serving the local community since 1967. As the only archery club in the Cardiff area with dedicated indoor and outdoor facilities, the club provides year-round access to target archery for enthusiasts of all levels and disciplines.
The club operates from a purpose-built range featuring 12 shooting lanes, accommodating longbow, recurve barebow, recurve freestyle, compound bow and other traditional archery styles. The facility includes spectator seating, a tea and coffee bar, and fully accessible toilets, making it welcoming to all visitors.
Llandaff City Bowmen serves both complete beginners and experienced Archery GB affiliated archers from other clubs. Their beginner courses, running from October through April on a first-come, first-served basis, provide structured introduction to the sport. The club emphasises enjoyment and community participation in healthy recreation, with all surplus funds reinvested into equipment maintenance, facility improvements and range development.
The club's defining characteristic is its comprehensive infrastructure—both indoor (18 metres/20 yards) and outdoor (up to 100 yards) ranges accessible throughout the year.
