# Archers of Teme
Archers of Teme is an established archery club serving the tri-border region of South Shropshire, North Herefordshire and Worcestershire. With roots dating back to 1856 and reformed in its present incarnation in 1984, the club has nearly 170 years of heritage within the sport.
The club caters to archers of all abilities and disciplines. Whilst recurve bow shooting forms the core of the membership, they actively support compound and longbow archers, reflecting the diversity of the sport. The club welcomes everyone from complete beginners to competitive archers, with many members content to shoot recreationally rather than compete.
Based at Brimfield & Little Hereford Sports Club, Archers of Teme operates year-round with seasonal location changes. Summer shooting takes place on Sunday afternoons and weekday evenings at their main ground, whilst winter months see the club relocate to indoor facilities at Tenbury High School and Moor Park School to maintain training throughout the year.
What sets them apart is their comprehensive approach to membership development. They run dedicated beginners' courses welcoming archers of all ages, whilst their medium-sized, active membership creates a supportive community environment. The club strikes a balance between recreational shooting and competitive participation, hosting prestigious events like their Architectural Heritage Shoot, which attracts archers across the region.
